He routinely represents parties before the Committee on Foreign Investment in the United States (CFIUS) and other government bodies on national security\, cybersecurity and communications matters. Gruenspecht has advised clients on CFIUS risk in hundreds of matters and is regularly invited to speak on CFIUS issues. \nJoshua has been recognized as an International Trade: CFIUS Expert by Chambers USA\, as one of the top 40 attorneys under the age of 40 in Washington\, DC by DCA Live\, and as a leading attorney in The Legal 500 U.S. in the areas of Telecom and Broadcast: Regulatory and Transactional. Joshua regularly helps U.S. companies and foreign investors in understanding and allocating CFIUS risk\, determining whether filings are required or advisable\, and navigating the CFIUS process. In addition\, he represents domestic businesses and foreign entities before the Defense Counterintelligence and Security Agency (DCSA)\, the Federal Communications Commission (FCC)\, federal defense and intelligence agencies\, state utilities commissions\, and other government bodies. \nPrior to joining Wilson Sonsini\, Joshua worked at a multinational law firm based in Washington\, D.C. He was previously a Cybersecurity Fellow with the Center for Democracy and Technology\, as well as an engineer working on network security research and development for the federal government and BBN Technologies\, focusing on device exploitation and computer network exploitation. Joshua has been quoted in prominent publications including The New York Times\, The Atlantic Monthly\, the Voice of America News\, and Law360. He holds a J.D. from Harvard Law School and a B.S. in Computer Science and English Literature from Yale University. \nJennifer Fang \nJennifer Fang is a corporate and securities partner in the Boston office of Wilson Sonsini Goodrich & Rosati. She helps innovative start-ups grow into successful enterprises by providing counsel to the founders\, management teams\, and boards and by handling the legal and strategic business issues and transactions that arise at each stage. She is experienced in negotiating and executing a variety of corporate transactions\, including conversions\, spinouts\, debt and equity financings\, public offerings\, PIPEs\, mergers and acquisitions\, and joint ventures. She also counsels venture capital\, growth capital\, and strategic investors with respect to their investment transactions and their existing portfolio companies. Her practice focuses on companies that can improve patient lives and healthcare through innovations and advances\, including in gene editing\, cell therapy\, novel therapeutics\, synthetic biology\, proteomics\, diagnostics\, bioinformatics\, medical devices\, and research and manufacturing tools and processes. \nShe is a frequent speaker on corporate and securities topics\, such as company formation risks\, equity compensation issues\, angel and venture financing terms\, and founder pitfalls\, and currently serves on the General Counsel Advisory Board of the National Venture Capital Association. Ms. Fang received her J.D. from the University of Pennsylvania and a Master of Engineering in Biological Engineering and a Bachelor of Science in Biology from the Massachusetts Institute of Technology. \nZhiping Liu \nMr. Liu specializes in corporate law\, including corporate governance\, mergers and acquisitions\, commercial loans\, joint ventures and related areas. Mr. Liu has practiced in leading Wall Street and Silicon Valley law firms for more than seven years\, when he completed more than 100 large-scale transactions\, including mergers\, acquisitions\, investments\, and restructurings\, secured lending totaling more than $7 billion. Mr. Liu now leads the business practices of Liu\, Chen & Hoffman LLP\, a Chinese-American owned boutique business law firm that focuses on cross-border transactions\, intellectual property law and commercial dispute resolutions. Mr. Liu received his Juris Doctorate from New York University School of Law and is admitted to practice in New York and Georgia. \nYong Chen \nYong Chen is a founding partner of Liu\, Chen & Hoffman LLP. His practices focus on intellectual property law. Dr. Chen has counseled a range of clients including petrochemical\, chemical engineering\, pharmaceutical\, medical devices companies\, universities and research institutions in their patent and trademark portfolio management\, application drafting and prosecution\, invalidity/infringement investigation\, freedom-to-operate studies\, due diligence\, technology transfer and licensing\, and litigation.
