SAPA-GP is pleased to announce the availability of the SAPA-GP Song Li scholarship in honor of its long-term supporter Dr. Song Li, Founder and CEO of Frontage Laboratories. This scholarship is available to two college-going high school graduates of the academic year (2021-22) from any Pennsylvania High School. The graduate must plan to pursue a degree related to a STEM (science, technology, engineering, and math) related field. General Guidelines:
The scholarship is a cash award of $15,000 per year for up to three consecutive academic years if the recipient maintains full-time student status in an accredited four-year US college. The scholarship will dispense the initial yearly award at the beginning of the current academic year (2022-23). After the first year, the scholarship can be renewed if the recipient maintains full-time student status in an accredited four-year US college and an accumulated GPA average of B or above.
Minimum Qualifications:
- A college-going high school graduate of the current academic year from a Pennsylvania High School.
- Born or with at least one parent who was born or having relatives who were born in Mainland China, Taiwan, HK, or Singapore.
- With a weighted accumulated high school GPA of 4.0 and above.
Required Application Material:
- One 500-word essay on any topic related to the applicant’s high school experience.
- Short recommendations (up to 200 words) from two people who are knowledgeable about the applicant’s characters and/or high school performance.
- Self-declaration of meeting all minimum qualifications for this scholarship (the scholarship winners are required to submit their copies of official high school transcripts).
