Sino-American Pharmaceutical Association – Greater Philadelphia (SAPA-GP) held a picnic/BBQ event at Upper Providence Blackrock Park, Phoenixville, PA 19460 on Oct 9th.
Although the weather started to be chilly, the event was warmed up by the great amount of enthusiasm from the organizers, volunteers, and attendees. It was a great opportunity to gather with old friends and connect with new friends. SAPA-GP continues to dedicate itself to fostering a more approachable environment for building professional relationships in casual settings.
Networking
On Sunday morning, people started flooding into the green lawn as early as 10:30 to connect or reconnect with each other. People not only arrived early themselves but also brought their family members to the event. SAPA-GP members from all generations were able to reunite together and communicate in person. This was the first in-person casual event held by SAP-GP since the winter of COVID.
Welcome Speech
A succinct welcome speech was soon given by Haichen Yang, MD – SAPA-GP’s current President, with swarming hospitality. Haichen introduced our SAPA-GP EO team and welcomed the newly joined volunteer.
Happy BBQ Time
As people were engaged in the conversations, the operation team prepared a variety of barbeque, Chinese food, snacks, drinks, and ice cream. Friends and families lined up for the delicious food. Children were freely playing in the playground right next to the BBQ field, and the parents had chances to communicate about their life and career on such occasions.
After BBQ Activities
Rope pulling was carried out after the BBQ activity to help with digestion. Both boys’ team and the girls’ team had fun competing in this sport. This activity brought much joy to the event and people would be able to take this happy and memorable experience with them back home.
We genuinely thank everyone for taking the time to join us at the BBQ/Picnic Event on Sunday! For more of these SAPA-GP events, please follow our webpage. For joining SAPA-GP membership or volunteering opportunities, please reach out to any of the SAPA-GP event organizers or volunteers.
