Title: Associate Director / Director, Market Research & Business Development

Hengrui USA is currently looking to hire an Associate Director / Director within our Business Development team. This new role will be focused on Market Research & Business Development to support Hengrui USA and its affiliates’ business needs.

Responsibilities will include, but are not limited to, the following:

  • Carry out market research with a range of stakeholders including payers (in addition to key opinion leaders, et al.), through which to build long-term forecast for the assigned asset(s)
  • Lead market research efforts such as epidemiology, treatment flow, qualitative or quantitative demand/market share, segmentation, positioning, future treatment paradigms, etc., and developing market research reports to support Hengrui’s business
  • Integrate primary market research results with other data analysis, quantitative studies, and information, and transform them into commercial strategies.
  • Provide insights and recommendations to the senior management teams on global pharma / biotech market trends based on deep understanding of all stages of drug supply chain / payer system, macro environment such as impact from government policy change & major relevant trade deals
  • Take other BD responsibilities such as building partnerships if needed
  • Being able to work independently, and also be able to partner with teams including R&D, sales, finance, IP, legal and others
  • Following the guidelines of relevant policies and regulations, to ensure the market research activities are conducted legally
  • Communicate and present research results if needed

Skills/Knowledge Required:

  • Bachelor’s Degree required; Master’s Degree or beyond or MBA preferred
  • 6+ years of market research / analysis experience in pharmaceutical or biotech industry
  • With good knowledge regarding market access, pricing, and reimbursement in US
  • Proven record of drawing insights from primary market research, data and transform them into actionable plans to support business decision
  • Ability to work on multiple projects, prioritize and meet the deadlines
  • Ability to work effectively in cross functional teams
  • Ability to effectively communicate with different levels in the organization to understand and influence decisions
  • Self-motivated and team player

Location: this position is based in Princeton, NJ. But it would be considered for working remotely for qualified candidates.
